Lantern On The Hill

This triplex conveys modern elegance in three upscale flats, located above a private parking structure. It was a 2021 GOHBA awards finalist for custom urban multi-unit homes.

 

Situated on a bold hillside property, the units look south across the New Edinburgh-Lindenlea neighborhood. Landscape steps cut into the hillside lead to the entry 'lantern' with its wall of glass, 3 storey open riser staircase and interior brick walls that blur the line between interior and exterior space. The contemporary brick exterior gracefully blends into the context of the surrounding older mixed developments. It fits right in, but stands out as uniquely elegant. It's certainly not your average triplex but a celebration of urban living on a hillside property.
